Therapeutic Writing
Writing has long been used as a therapeutic tool to assist in challenging times. Research shows that writing can be good for our welbeing. Shifting focus from the external to internal world allows us to explore thoughts, emotions, and process experiences.
Releasing our words onto the page is a wonderful opportunity for self-expression. At the start of the workshop, we will relax into the space with a mindfulness exercise. I will then guide us through writing prompts to enhance creativity and encourage words to flow.
Therapeutic writing can take many forms, and regardless of the type of writing you do, a regular practice can be empowering, inspirational and help you find purpose.
This workshop is designed for relaxation and enjoyment. You are not required to share anything aloud, unless you wish to do so.
All writing levels are welcome, and no experience is needed. All you need is paper and pen, or whichever writing tool works best for you.
